About Us
Company History
F.B.G Limited was established in 1992 in response to the UK’s need for an on-shore drilling environmental specialist. Updated environmental legislation was affecting the day-to-day activities of the drilling companies and new environmentally friendly methods of waste disposal needed to be found.
FBG stepped up to the challenge and have developed and built a range of specialist tanks and handling equipment to meet the changing requirements of the market. These changes enabled a closed loop system to be produced that would keep all cuttings and fluids confined whilst capturing the maximum amounts of re-useable fluids, therefore keeping waste disposal volumes to a minimum. The equipment has been updated over the years to meet changing safety regulations and make use of beneficial modern technologies.
FBG’s continued investment in innovative solutions led to the development of our Cuttings Reduction Unit (CRU) in 2007. This unit was built in response to growing concerns over the probability of an on-road spillage of drilling waste due to open topped transport containers. The CRU effectively eliminates this environmental risk by allowing all cuttings solids waste to be reduced to a liquid form and transported by sealed road tankers.
As we move forward toward a carbon neutral environment, FBG’s innovative equipment and specialist skills make us your ideal waste management partner, whether this is finding new uses for your waste streams, recovering valuable materials from your waste, steps to minimise your company’s environmental impact or, fulfil your company’s requirements to dismantle your company’s industrial sites and to reinstate the land back to original use, at the end of the sites working life.

Decarbonising Heavy Industries
As the world moves towards carbon neutrality, FBG are committed to being part of that focus. We continue to develop our plans to reduce our carbon emissions to contribute to the UK’s carbon targets.
Heavy industry makes products that are central to our modern way of life, but are also responsible for nearly 40% of global CO₂ emissions.
Our infrastructures will require more cement, steel, glass, and plastics than has ever been produced before. The industries that manufacture these essential building materials already account for one third of greenhouse gas emissions. In the face of this projected demand, the only way to ensure a sustainable future is through collaboration between businesses and governments to decarbonise heavy industry.
As demand for suitable housing land continues to grow, FBG have a key role to play in decontaminating industrial brownfield land and remediating the land to make it suitable and available for housing developments. Along with meeting heavy industries requirement to reinstate previous industrial sites such as oil and gas fields back to original or approved new uses.
