Bulk Storage Tank Hire

FBG provide a wide range of tank storage units for hire, including Horizontal Cylindrical, GRP Lined, Open Topped , Self Bunded (Diesel Containment) and Intermediate Bulk Containers.

Our Horizontal Cylindrical tanks for bulk fluid storage; FBG’s G.R.P lined tanks are for storage of corrosive fluids, with a capacity 40,000 ltrs. Our Open Topped tanks are for the containment of solids and/or fluids. FBG’s Self-Bunded tanks (Diesel Containment) provide an integrated outer skin or bund around the containment tank as required for the safe storage of Diesel and oils. Our I.B.C.s are for lower capacity fluids storage, I.B.C.s (Intermediate Bulk Containers) are a popular storage solution when smaller volumes of fluid are needed and/or they are being moved frequently.

Our Horizontal Cylindrical tanks for bulk fluid storage have a capacity range of 22,000 to 81,000 ltrs (140-510 bbls) and a length range of 5.5m to 15m. They are suitable for most fluids but are not for potable water. Several are G.R.P. lined. 

All our Horizontal Cylindrical tanks are fitted with full length skids for stability on uneven ground. Most of our tanks inlets feed along a pipe to the rear of the tank ensuring full circulation. 

The tanks are LOLER certified to 1.5 x their weight over four lifting eyes mounted on the skids but may be lifted by a large forklift via the built-in tine socks. Couplings and fittings can be altered to the clients’ specifications but come with 4” Bauer couplings as standard.

Our G.R.P lined tanks are for storage of corrosive fluids, with a capacity 40,000 ltrs:

• These tanks are fibreglass lined for the containment of corrosive fluids.
• They have a capacity of 40,000 ltrs (250 bbls)
• Full length skids are fitted for stability on uneven ground
• The tanks are LOLER certified to 1.5 x their weight over four lifting eyes mounted on the skids
• Couplings and fittings can be altered to the clients’ specifications.

Open Topped tanks are for the containment of solids and/or fluids in capacity ranges of 11,000 to 36,000 ltrs (70 to 225 bbls) and a length range of 5m to 10m.

Open Topped tanks can be supplied with a canopy roof to avoid rainwater
contamination. The tanks are LOLER certified to 1.5 x their weight over four lifting eyes mounted inside the tanks

Self-Bunded tanks (Diesel Containment) provide an integrated outer skin or bund around the containment tank as required for the safe storage of Diesel and oils.

Their capacity is 27,500 ltrs (170 bbls), and come with full-length skids fitted for stability on uneven ground. The tanks are LOLER certified to 1.5 x their weight over four lifting eyes mounted on the skids. Couplings and fittings can be altered to the clients’ specifications but come with 4” Bauer couplings as standard.

1000 ltr I.B.C.s for lower capacity fluids storage, our I.B.C.s (Intermediate Bulk Containers) are a popular storage solution when smaller volumes of fluid are needed and/or they are being moved frequently. 

FBG’s IBC containers are made from moulded plastic, protected by metal cages, and are suitable for a wide range of non-corrosive fluids. The bases are made of hard plastic or metal for transportation on forklifts, and can be moved whilst full. Our IBC’s are fitted with taps with S60 threads. IBC capacites are 1,000 ltrs (6 bbls).
